I have more volumes of "Best Things" and "Straight Dope" books, but they are in trade paperback form and in storage. What Was Hot takes a year by year look, from 1950 to 1993, at what was popular in areas like books, movies, sports, fads, and music. And most of these books, dealing with words and information, have very dull covers, usually only the titles. The picture above is from the front of The Oxford Book Of Literary Anecdotes.

Book Count: 1274.
